Full Story: http://www.davecarrollmusic.com/story… – In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. ABOUT THE SONG AND THE MUSIC VIDEO!:



The music video was directed by Marc Webb; it was filmed in Los Angeles, California on June 6, 2009. It premiered on MySpace on Monday, June 22, 2009 at midnight EST.



The band is found in a white motel room with Christian and Gloria, the two protagonists throughout the album 21st Century Breakdown. Gloria is startled by the arrival of police outside, and closes the louvers on the blinds to shut them out. A hail of bullets ensue, penetrating the motel room and terrifying Gloria. As shots continue to pass by her, Gloria notices that the phone in the motel room is blinking. She holds the handset to her ear for a short time before throwing the phone in an aquarium. As the damage from the shootout continues to destroy the room and its furnishings, Christian and Gloria lock eyes and walk unscathed toward each other, and embrace (In the same position that was on the album cover art).



At one point during the video, the words written on the walls of the motel room are revealed for a moment to be the lyrics to Green Days song See The Light, the last song on 21st Century Breakdown.



The video ends with Billie Joe Armstrong hitting the final note of the song, with the lights fading out. The video is the fourth Green Day video to feature touring/studio backup guitarist Jason White, having appeared in “When I Come Around”, “Wake Me Up When September Ends” and “Working Class Hero”.
